Human remains were found in Tippah County on Sunday, October 22.
According to the Tippah County Sheriff’s Department, the remains were found in a field just northeast of Walnut.
Someone mowing a field told authorities around 4 p.m. after they came upon the remains.
They called the Sheriff’s Department and an investigation began.
The remains were found off County Road 127, north of Hwy 72. The remains will be sent to a forensics laboratory and the identity of the body is still unknown.
