Homeless Man Injured After Falling Asleep Near Train Tracks In Jackson

According to Jackson Assistant Police Chief Watts, a man experiencing homelessness was living near the train tracks in Jackson when he fell asleep near the tracks.

His feet were too close to the train rails while he was sleeping and a train ran over his foot, damaging his heel.

He was taken by AMR to the hospital where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

His identity has not been released. He is only being described as a white male.

Jackson police, AMR, and the Jackson Fire Department all responded to the scene.
