The Jones County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a home at 2211 Highway 11 North near Sandersville.

Deputies are also looking for a stolen Kubota 4 seater aide by side, camo in color, that was reported to have been stolen from the home.

Investigators are trying to determine if the stolen side by side is possibly connected to the fire.

Jones County volunteer firefighters responded to the blaze that they said was “fully involved” when they arrived.

Jones County Sheriff’s Department Investigator, Sgt. J.D. Carter, who is the County Fire Investigator, is leading the investigation.
