A 17-year-old high school football player was shot and killed in an apparent shootout between cars on Wednesday in Goodman.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 51 and Holmes County Central football player Clyzavion Landfair was identified as the deceased. He was a football player at Holmes County Central High School.
Multiple reports indicate that the car Landfair was in was chased for about for about a quarter mile and 50-60 rounds were fired.
Three others were injured in the shooting.
Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard told reporters that Landfair’s body has been sent for autopsy.
