Hattiesburg police arrest man with multiple catalytic converters, saws in vehicle

A Louisiana man is in custody after he was arrested during an attempted traffic stop Thursday (August 4).
On Thursday around 3:30 a.m. Hattiesburg police tried to pull over 19-year-old Terrance Bright of Terrytown Louisiana during a traffic stop. He didn’t stop, and ran from police. He drove down Main Street to West Pine Street, then turned off his vehicle’s headlights and crashed into a building.
Bright and a passenger were checked at a local hospital for minor injuries.
Inside of the car, officers found ski masks, saws, blades, and multiple catalytic converters. Bright was charged with one count of felony eluding, two counts of receiving stolen property, and possession of burglary tools.

Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.
