On Monday, November 21, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Hattiesburg Police arrested wanted individual, Jerome Strickland.

The 38-year-old from Hattiesburg was taken into custody, with the help of Forrest County Sheriff’s Department on four active warrants for aggravated assault.
Stricklands warrants were in connection to shooting at a vehicle being driven by individuals associated with the West 5th Street shooting.
That incident occurred near 7th and Oliver around 3 a.m. on Nov. 3, 2022. There were no injuries during the incident.
Strickland has been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
