There was a happy ending to a scary situation in Gulfport this week.
A Gulfport woman was driving home after taking her schnauzer, Molly, to the emergency vet. Molly had been attacked by another bigger dog and was recovering after having to stay at the vet for several days. She had a drain under her arm and a cone on her neck.

On the way home, the owner noticed Molly acting sick so she pulled over to check on her. As she was getting out of her car, someone carjacked her. They jumped into the drivers seat and sped off at Arkansas Avenue and Highway 90.
The owner tried to chase the car and begged for them to let Molly go.
About 30 minutes later, the woman’s car was recovered but there was no dog inside.
Distraught, the owner and others, searched frantically for Molly. They posted on social media desperately hoping someone had seen her.
Several days later, the owner received the call she had been praying for.
The woman learned that the carjacker must have put the dog out of the car. Molly took cover on a porch just two lots over from where the carjacking happened.
The porch she laid down on happened to be an empty rental property. Luckily, the owners came to paint and found the terrified pup.
Molly was happily reunited with her owner.
