On Monday, the Oxford Police Department were made aware of a video of a man recording himself killing kittens near an apartment on Molly Barr Road.
18-year-old Carl Travis Jr. from Grenada was issued a warrant for felony Aggravated Animal Cruelty.
The Grenada Police Department took Travis Jr. into custody on Tuesday, July 26th.
Travis Jr. was given a bond of $5,000 after standing before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge at his initial bond hearing.
He will have a Grand Jury session in August where additional counts will be presented.
