On Saturday, May 21, officers with the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Highland Plantation Road in reference to a Sexual Assault.
When officers arrived they found a 25-year-old victim who said she had been sleeping when the suspect, Tyvon Brown, entered her bedroom window by pushing the AC unit out.
Once he entered the home, she said he threatened her life and took her by force to his vehicle.
He then drove her to an undisclosed location and the victim said he sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle.
The Greenville Police Department Investigations Division ascertained a search warrant for the arrest of Tyvon Brown. They were unable to locate him right away because he had left the state.
Finally, the U.S. Marshals Service took Brown into custody in Enid, Oklahoma.
Brown was transported back to Greenville, Mississippi, and placed in the Washington County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.
