Greenville Fire Department Puts Out Fire At Home

The Greenville Fire Department put out a fire at a home early Monday morning.

They were called at 6:22 a.m. and dispatched to 1023 South Delesseps Street in reference to a residential house fire.

Command 1, Engine 4, and Rescue 2 were all dispatched to the scene.

When Engine 1 arrived, they saw heavy smoke. Firefighters conducted a 360 walk around the structure before making entry.

The front door of the home was open, due to a bystander making entry, to ensure that nobody was inside.

Engine 1 deployed pre-connected fire hoses for fire suppression and conducted a primary search. The residence was unoccupied.

Personnel then located the fire and utilized the fire hoses for extinguishment.

The structure sustained heavy fire damage to the area of origin.

Also, moderate heat, fire, and smoke damage throughout the structure.
