Gorgeous George The Leash-Walking Goat Needs A Home

Morgan Howard

Do you need a pet goat? (We think the answer is yes)

The Richland Police Department shared this cutie’s picture and said he was brought in by animal control.

When the owner of this goat called, they said they didn’t want him anymore and surrendered him to the city.

The goat’s name is Gorgeous George. (or George for short) He got fined for his adventures when he was running loose in the city, but he definitely thought it was worth it.

Mississippi Animal Rescue League (MARL) now has Gorgeous George and he is looking for his forever home.

He has been neutered and is looking for a home with other goat friends.

Goats are herd animals and do not do well as an only pet.

If you’re interested in meeting Gorgeous George, please make sure you have a fenced yard, goat friends, feed, grass, and a barn.

Goats really do not like to get wet, that’s why a barn is required or some sort of shelter access.

Gorgeous George, with a little encouragement, knows how to walk on a leash.

He is very friendly and is ready for a new home. His adoption fee is $125.

Call 601-969-1631 if you want to schedule a time to meet George!
