A strong wind event is expected today across the forecast area. The most significant wind is expected over upper portions of the Delta region this morning where gusts of 50 to 60 mph will result in tree and power line damage and power outages. Otherwise, wind gusts in excess of 40 mph can be expected, resulting in sporadic tree damage and a few power outages.

A line of thunderstorms will move through this morning. Strong, gusty winds will accompany a cold front, with clearing skies behind the front. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s.

Skies will clear in the south, while clouds will linger in the north. Low temperatures return to more seasonable norms with lows in the 40s.
