On Friday, January 13, and Monday, January 17, officers of the Byram Police Department were called to 6017 I-55 Frontage Road the business of AAA Powersports regarding a business burglary.
The business owner reported the theft of five (5) dirt bikes, a firearm, and a safe containing cash during the burglaries.
The Byram Detective Bureau immediately began working on the case. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified five suspects.
Arrest warrants were issued and four of the five suspects have been apprehended. Upon apprehension of suspects, detectives recovered all but one of the stolen bikes and multiple firearms which were reported stolen during a Pawn Shop burglary in the City of Jackson.
Through further investigation, detectives collected critical intelligence, which assisted neighboring agencies in solving multiple burglaries along with a few suspected violent crimes that recently occurred in their respective jurisdictions.
The Byram Police Department is now asking the public for help in locating the last suspect involved in this crime.
