Flowood Police Make Statement About Scary Incident That Happened At Baskin Robbins

According to a concerned mother’s Facebook post, an employee at Baskin Robbins had a scary encounter while working Monday evening.

The mother claimed that her 16-year-old, who is an employee of the Baskin Robbins in Flowood, was lured outside of her job by a phone call of someone claiming to be a Flowood police officer.

When the teenager went outside, the man threatened to hurt her and the other girls working there.

The mom didn’t explain how, or what happened next, but said that her daughter was able to get away and call police.

The victim’s mother claimed that police told them this recently happened at Kroger as well.

Today (Tuesday) the Flowood Police Department made a statement about the incident on Facebook.

They confirmed that someone called the store, pretending to be an officer. The individual told the employee to come outside and speak with him about a warrant.

Flowood police said there have been similar incidents happening in the area.
