Saturday around 5:00 p.m. Hebron, Soso, and Pleasant Ridge volunteer fire departments responded to a structure fire at 33 Graves Road.

When firefighters arrived, they found a single-family brick home with a large metal shop attached, with flames and heavy smoke emanating from the shop.

Firefighters quickly initiated an aggressive offensive (or interior) fire attack and were able to extinguish the flames before the fire spread to the home.  The origin of the fire appeared to be near a stove and an ice maker, with flames spreading up the wall, which had a wood covering and bordered the shop and home.

Thanks to the quick response and action of the firefighters, the home sustained no damage and was spared from the flames.  The shop sustained moderate damage, however.
