During the month of February, we are featuring a Black Owned Business each week in our wonderful state!

This week, we want to introduce you to Perrin Knight with Knight Masonry, LLC.

Perrin Knight was born and raised in Pearl, Mississippi. He is an incredibly skilled mason who does detailed, and beautiful work around the state and in Louisiana.

Knight said that he began learning the mason trade in 1984 from his father. He has worked as a mason for 30 years.

He worked hard to master his craft and would study anytime he wasn’t in school. He dedicated his weekends, summers, and any free time he had to learn from his father, PJ Knight.

Knight says that he has always enjoyed working with his hands.

“The thought of creating things that could possibly last for generations just gives me a sense of pride. I love the history of the trade, the form, and function of it all.”

Knight Masonry, LLC does everything masonry, brick, block, and stone. Perrin Knight’s specialties are outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens.

“What I love about Mississippi is that it has a climate for the self-employed and small business people.”
