According to WMC, an escaped inmate from DeSoto County, 30-year-old Joshua Zimmerman, has been found after months on the run.

Inmate In Jail For Attempted Murder Escapes During Hearing At DeSoto County Courthouse

The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office confirmed during a press conference that U.S. Marshals tracked Zimmerman to a restaurant in Chicago on Tuesday.

Zimmerman, who is wanted for attempted murder and robbery, was barricaded inside the restaurant and is believed to be the only person in the building. He was taken into custody.

Zimmerman managed to escape from the DeSoto County courthouse in Hernando on the morning of Friday, June 14. Authorities had increased the reward for information leading to his capture to $15,000 during the search.
