According to the Jones County Fire Council, PIO, Dana Bumgardner, a structure caught fire in Jones County on March 18th, shortly after 9:00 a.m.

South Jones and Moselle volunteer fire departments responded to the structure fire at 1250 Moselle Road.

When firefighters arrived, the single-story, wood-framed home was already completely engulfed in flames. The roof of the structure was already compromised.

A neighbor across the street noticed flames coming from a bedroom window and called 911.

Nobody lived at the home at the time of the fire and the cause of the fire is unknown right now.
