On November 10, the driver of a vehicle reported stolen out of Hattiesburg led Jones County deputies on a chase down Interstate 59 with speeds reaching 100 mph.
The driver exited I-59 in Laurel where Laurel Police Department units joined the chase.
The vehicle was brought to a stop on Short 3rd Avenue in Laurel after transiting several city streets.
Desmond Brown-Keyes, Jr. was identified as the driver and was arrested by the Jones County Adult Detention Facility pending his initial appearance in Jones County Justice Court.
