Our handsome Darkhorse Dog of the Week is Jason! He is waiting for someone to come see him at the Pearl River County SPCA in Picayune.

Jason is hard not to love when you look into those deep dark eyes. He is just longing for someone to choose him at the shelter.

He is a brindle-colored black mouth cur mix and is about 2 years old!

He has been waiting a long 296 days for somebody to notice him and yet somehow keeps getting overlooked.

Although he may act a little shy at first around a large group of dogs in the playgroup, Jason warms up quickly and loves other dogs!

He may be large, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking he’s a tiny lap dog and wanting to cuddle!

Someone go visit this sweet lonely soul and take him home. 296 days is too long for a dog to be stuck in a shelter. He deserves a couch and a home and most importantly a person or family to love!

Jason was found as a stray by an animal control officer in Picayune. He has had many different kennel mates and seems to get along with all dogs!

The Pearl River County SPCA is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
