Dessa is our DarkHorse Dog of the Week!
The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League posted about this sweet pup who had been sprayed with a pressure washer and beaten before she was saved.
BARL named this dog Dessa, and she is as sweet as can be.
Dessa has been fully vetted and is living in a foster home right now. Her eye was injured from her previous abuse, but it has completely healed.
Even after going through these awful experiences with humans, Dessa is still so full of love. She absolutely loves humans and doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.
Dessa is good with other dogs and cats. She walks well on a leash and is being house trained. Dessa loves her crate and doesn’t attempt to get on furniture.
BARL said she is smart, laid back, and an overall doll. They said,
“This girl deserves to live the life of a queen”
