Corinth Police Arrest Man For Attempted Auto Burglary

The Corinth Police Department arrested a man for Attempted Auto Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools.

On December 29, a male suspect made his way on foot burglarizing vehicles on Hickory Road, Roundelay Drive, and other nearby streets.

The suspect was checking for unlocked vehicles. Video footage was obtained from several residents.

On January 1, 2023, around 4:00 a.m. officers responded to Roundelay regarding a suspicious person. Officer Sheppard responded and made contact with Antwan Patterson.

Detective Swindle compiled all the evidence and had probable cause to charge Antwan Patterson with 2 counts of Attempted Burglary as well as Possession of Burglary Tools.

Detectives are still reviewing footage and re-interviewing victims which may result in more charges.

This case will be presented to an Alcorn County Grand Jury.
