On Friday, September 13, at approximately noon, a robbery occurred at Regions Bank, located at Hwy. 80 in Clinton.
According to Director of Communication Marlee Price, the suspect, identified as a black male, entered the bank, jumped the teller counter, and demanded money.
He did not claim to have a weapon, and no weapon was visibly displayed during the incident.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash in a vehicle that has not been identified.
No bank employees or customers were injured during the robbery. CPD, in cooperation with the FBI, is actively investigating the incident.
