Check out improvements during Look and See Event at Mississippi State Parks

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks invites you to join us for an opportunity to explore ongoing construction and hear what is upcoming for Mississippi State Parks! Taking place simultaneously, all five parks will be welcoming visitors on December 9, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to experience the excitement at the Look and See Event.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the following five parks that are currently undergoing major renovations.

  • Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park – 10 cabins, new fishing piers, and lake improvement.
  • Clarkco State Park – 6 cabins
  • Roosevelt State Park – 52 campsites, camp store, cabins 8 and 12, and tennis courts.
  • Paul B. Johnson State Park – 16 cabins, 65 campsites, and gatehouse.
  • Percy Quin State Park – 67 campsites, lodge and 9 cabins.

All guests are invited to stop by the park office or lodge to hear from park representatives regarding the projects taking place in addition to upcoming plans before heading out to explore the current progress on renovations. Join us for a peek into the future of Mississippi State Parks!

These projects are a major step in our improvement plan. We are excited to be entering a new era for Mississippi State Parks. It is our goal to elevate and enrich the current offerings at Mississippi State Parks while also preserving the timeless elements our guests have loved for generations.
