Capitol Police Arrest Individual After Vehicle Pursuit

Tuesday afternoon (November 22) Capitol Police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2019 Dodge Charger Hell Cat for a traffic violation which then led to a vehicle pursuit.

The pursuit began around Fortification Street in Jackson and ended on I-55 North Frontage Road and County Line Road.

The driver, Jamonte Williams, was arrested and is being held at Hinds County Detention center on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

Capitol police say that additional charges are expected.
