According to a report from WLBT, Canton police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning (around 5 a.m.)

Canton police said a man was sitting in a driveway early Wednesday when he was shot two times in the chest.

WLBT reports that Police Chief Otha Brown said that the victim was 29-year-old Shaquille Jackson. He was sitting in a car on George Washington Street at the time of the shooting.

He died after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Police say there are no suspects in custody right now.
