According to Sheriff Greg Pollan with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, they are aware of a situation of a dog being shot within the city limits of Calhoun City.
The lead investigative agency for this investigation is the Calhoun City Police Department. The Sheriff’s Department said they are helping the police department with the investigation.
The incident, as reported to Calhoun City Police Department involved a member of the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
The administration of the patrol and leadership with DPS are aware of the situation as well.
Sheriff Pollan said that no other information is available right now but updates will happen next week.
