In the Fall of 2022, the Byram Police Department conducted a fundraiser to aid in the purchase of 20 load bearing/weight distribution vest carriers.
This new police technology has been recently available for law enforcement officers to combat health issues associated with hip and lower back pain.
The Byram Chamber of Commerce completely funded this project and raised $7,500 through their business partners.
