Gulfport police are working to identify a man’s body that washed up on the beach Monday morning.
Police said the man was found just before 8:30 a.m. wearing black shorts. He was just at the water’s edge on the beach between Courthouse and Teagarden roads.
According to WLOX’s Brandi McGill, officials from the police department and coroner’s office, including two CSI trucks, were on the scene for about two hours.
So far police are not releasing the man’s name or any other details. An autopsy will be performed to establish the cause and manner of death.
