UPDATE: Thursday, May 2, Jackson Police identified the body as 42-year-old Jay Lee Barber.
Barber was reported missing April 16th.

After a fisherman reported seeing a body in the Pearl River near the stack, an hours-long search was initiated.
The body was finally recovered overnight near South State Street and Gallatin.
Police officials told reporters the body is that of a male.
Police told reporters there is a 25-foot drop into the water where the body was recovered.
Rescuers from Rankin County, Hinds County, and other jurisdictions were also on the scene to assist in the search and recovery. This is a developing story.
