Body Found Inside Burning Building In Jackson

Capitol police and the Jackson Fire Department responded to a fire on Sunday, November 26, at 11:45 p.m.

The fire was at a building on W. Capitol Street.

When the fire was extinguished, a body was found next to a garbage can.

The cause of death is still under investigation.

According to Capitol Police spokesperson Bailey Martin, due to this being an ongoing investigation, no further comment will be made at this time.
