After an apartment fire at Sunset Plaza Apartments Wednesday morning, a body was found.

Jackson Fire Department Assistant Chief Patrick Armon said the fire was on the first floor of the apartment building. When firefighters arrived, they were able to contain it to two rooms that were damaged. In that apartment, however, the body of a man was found.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said the victim is 41-year-old Anthony Michael Wilson. Police say he appears to have died of blunt force trauma. Grisham Stewart said the body will be sent for autopsy, but that it has been ruled a homicide.

Armon said an investigation is ongoing into the cause of the fire.
