Blair E. Batson kids treated to Mardi Gras parade of their own

Mississippi Highway Patrol officers and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety brought horses to Children’s of Mississippi as part of a Mardi Gras parade Tuesday.

A Mardi Gras Motorcade rode in to the excitement of patients at the Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson on Tuesday.

The motorcade came across the front of the Kathy and Joe Sanderson towers at Children’s of Mississippi.

Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell and the Department of Public Safety host the event every year.

First Lady Elee Reeves and 2022 Miss Mississippi Emmie Perkins join the festivities along with members of Capitol Police, Mississippi Highway Patrol and other local agencies.
