The Biloxi Police Department posted about the Chester family. The department said that Mrs. Jannie Chester was a part of the agency for many years when she was hired in 1990 as a front desk clerk. She served for 16 years in the Tupelo Police Department.
Mrs. Jannie Chester cared about all of her co-workers and always took the time to listen and speak with everyone.
Her husband, John Chester, was an Inspector at the agency.
The Biloxi Police department said that even after they both retired, they stayed close to the people at the agency over the years.
This past Monday, on the 16th of October, Mrs. Chester was 81 years of age when she passed.
The Department said their condolences go out to her family.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Jannie Chester will be the following:
Viewing and visitation will be on the 23rd of October 2022, from 4 PM to 6 PM at First Missionary Baptist Church at 658 Esters Biloxi, MS 39530.
The funeral will be Monday, the 24th of October 2022, at Pine Valley Missionary 924 SCR 8 Taylorsville, MS 39168.
