On Tuesday, October 11, Hattiesburg Police responded to a report of a bicyclist that was hit by a vehicle at 40th and Hardy Street just before 6 p.m.
A 2016 GMC Sierra, was driving north on South 40th, turning on westbound Hardy Street, when a male bicyclist entered the intersection, and was hit.
The individual was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver of the GMC did stop at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
At this time, no charges have been filed in the incident.
