On Tuesday, the Office of the Attorney General announced it has completed the review of three incidents involving officer-involved shootings.
The shootings included the following:
October 20, 2022, incident in Lucedale with one George County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.
December 11, 2022, incident in Jackson with one Capitol Police Department Officer.
In all three incidents, the Attorney General’s Office found the use of force was justified.
Pursuant to Section 45-1-6 of the Mississippi Code, the reviews followed an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
