According to WTOK, a man from Atlanta was hit by a train in Lauderdale County on Monday.
The incident happened in Toomsuba early in the morning, around 4 a.m.
Trevon Walker was identified as the victim in the incident.
WTOK said that an engineer said he saw the man walking on the tracks but was not able to stop the train.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday the man hit by a train early Monday in Toomsuba was Trevon Walker, of Atlanta, Ga.
An engineer saw the man walking on the tracks but the train was unable to stop in time.
