Alleged Girlfriend Of Suspect In Double Homicide At St. Paddy’s Parade Arrested

The alleged girlfriend of the suspect in a double homicide back in March at the St. Paddy’s Day parade was arrested Friday morning.

Jenny Danielle Lukens was arrested and charged with Hindering Prosecution. She was arrested on an indictment by the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department..

Lukens is the girlfriend of 27-year-old Jordan Kyle Cummins, who was arrested for shooting two people in front of the Mississippi State Fairgrounds March 25.

The shooting happened on Jefferson Street around 1 p.m. Saturday, during the festivities surrounding the Hal’s St. Paddy’s Day Parade.

DPS Spokesperson Bailey Martin said Capitol Police officers responded to a call of shots fired. When they got there, they found two victims.

Joshua Spann and Auden Jubilee Simpkins were identified as the victims.

Jordan Cummins was wanted in connection with this incident. Witnesses said he fled the scene in a 2008 Gold Chevrolet Malibu. He was apprehended shortly thereafter.
