JACKSON — Capitol Police are investigating two separate shootings early Thursday that left three people hospitalized.
The first shooting was reported at about 1:18 a.m. on Booker Street, according to Capitol Police. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found two people with apparent gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital. No arrests have been made.
A second shooting occurred about 1:46 a.m. near Battlefield Park, police said. One person was found with an apparent gunshot wound and was also transported to a nearby hospital. No arrests have been made in that case either.
