An Amory woman was arrested last week after police say she caused a disturbance in a Tupelo restaurant.

A release from Tupelo Police Department says Amber Stanford, 29, was charged with disturbance of a business after they answered a call at the Fairpark Grill on East Main Street in Tupelo around 2:15 p.m. January 21.

Initial information was that Stanford had entered the restaurant and began throwing trash and yelling profanities. She then allegedly left the restaurant and began damaging an unoccupied vehicle. Police say that Stanford didn’t know whose vehicle she damaged.

Repair quotes for damages to the vehicle were over $1000 so felony malicious mischief charges were presented to Tupelo City Court. A probable cause hearing was held and an arrest warrant was issued and served. Her bond was set at $5,000.
