Tupelo convicted felon arrested for threatening people with gun

Tupelo Police Department has arrested a man for threatening people with a gun on Friday.

A release from TPD states that officers got a call Friday around 2 p.m. that a man was pointing a handgun at people and threatening them in the 1300 block of Ida Street. When they arrived, they found Dominic Vaca, 20, of Tupelo, with a loaded gun.

Vaca, police said, is a convicted felon.

The suspect was arrested on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond.
