A woman who is eight months pregnant was shot in Jackson Sunday night, police said.

Police say the shooting was part of a domestic situation that took place on Bishop Avenue.

The woman was taken to the hospital after being shot several times, police said. Her condition and the condition of her unborn baby are unknown as of Monday morning.

Authorities are looking for Daniel Jones as a suspect in this shooting, which they are calling an aggravated domestic assault.
