A man in Hattiesburg is behind bars on multiple felony charges, police say.

According to Hattiesburg police, Terry Hamby, 31, of Hattiesburg, was arrested Tuesday in the 6500 block of Highway 49, and charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

When Hamby was arrested, authorities seized a Bowie knife, as well as roughly 28 grams of meth.

Hamby was booked into the Forrest County Jail.

No further information has been released by Hattiesburg police.
