Police in the Hub City need your help to develop a suspect in a Thursday morning double homicide.

Just after 5 a.m., Hattiesburg Police responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of 6th Street and Rawls Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, a male and female were found apparently shot to death in the roadway.

The names of the individuals are not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin, according to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem.

Both individuals will be transported to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for autopsies.

At this time, no additional information is being released.
