Mississippi State wide receiver Malik Heath was injured in a car accident Thursday, and no information is immediately available on his condition.

A spokesperson for the school confirmed Heath is receiving medical treatment for his injuries. So far the location of the wreck has not been released, nor whether there was anyone else involved.

The team is still gathering more information on the incident, according to officials.

Heath, a senior wide receiver from Jackson, has caught 34 passes for 442 yards and five touchdowns this season. Prior to his time at Mississippi State, Heath was a standout at Copiah Lincoln Community College.
