Thursday night, the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office ran a Project Safe Neighborhood detail in areas throughout the county.
Seven individuals were arrested, seven firearms were seized, and one was stolen. Approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana, 1/2 pound of methamphetamine, and $70,000 in cash was also seized.
The names of those arrested were, Davion Carter, Wayne Taylor, Lajuan Weathersby, Dawon Hinton, Dashaud Wheeler, Daniel Strickland, and Kadarius Fells.
The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department said,
“This was a result of the community coming together to help make the county safer. Good job to all who participated!”
