A popular Jackson rapper and night club owner was shot outside a South Jackson Barber shop on Wednesday night.

According to Jackson Police, Laramie Collins was shot multiple times in the 700 block of McDowell Road at the South Side Barber Shop. Police say Collins, also known as “Jacktown Bud” was sitting inside his vehicle when he was shot. He died on scene.

A suspect wearing a dark hoodie was seen running from the location.

Police say so far they have not determined a motive.
