The man accused of shooting a Lyft driver multiple times after carjacking and kidnapping her is in custody.
On Tuesday night, Jackson Police arrested Dontarius McGee in the area of Beasley Road near Adkins Boulevard and charged him with aggravated assault, carjacking and kidnapping. He is now in police custody.
Police say the incident occurred around 1:30pm Tuesday at 175 Wimbledon Court.
Lyft driver Brandy Littrell was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center by AMR and rushed into surgery with life-threatening injuries. Her current condition is unknown.
