Hattiesburg Police are seeking the publics help in solving a death investigation that began on the morning of Halloween day.

A female body was found Sunday around 10 a.m. near the Campbell and Gunnison Drive intersection in Hattiesburg, police said.

The woman was discovered on the side of the roadway near the intersection by a passerby. She was later identified as 32-year-old Bobbi-Jo McSwain, of Hattiesburg, according to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem.

HPD said in a release today that the incident is being investigated as a possible hit and run, and the cause of death is pending autopsy.
