An Oxford man is behind bars on domestic violence charges.
According to a release from Oxford Police Department, Tayler Beard, 25, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence on Sunday.
Police say they were dispatched to the 1000 block of Buchanan Avenue where they were told there was an assault that had just taken place. Investigating officers found it to be an incident of domestic violence.
Beard was taken into custody. A Lafayette County Justice Court judge has issued Beard a $20,000 bond.
